Biological Control Methods for Agricultural Mites: A Review

Agriculture is the most important economic activity around world with its contributions reflected by share in gross domestic product of countries. It ensures food security, provides raw materials for many industries and employment opportunities. Today, pest diseases are among main challenges plaguing agricultural sector. More specifically, phytophagous mites devastating economically crops worldwide. Tetranychus urticae Koch (Two-spotted spider mites), Raoiella indica Hirst, (red palm Polyphagotarsonemus latus Banks (broad mites) Panonychus ulmi (European red widely known their extensive damage to crops. To control these mites, farmers have incorporated use pesticides into farming systems.
